Terms of Service

1. What Remixflix is

Remixflix is a curated index of AI-generated videos, published together with the prompts, models, and workflows used to create them. We do not host video: every video on the site is embedded from its original source (currently YouTube, Vimeo, or TikTok) and remains subject to that platform's own terms. What we host is the metadata around it — title, description, prompt, workflow, tags, and your account information.

2. Accounts

You need an account to submit videos, like, save, or comment. You must be at least 18 years old to create one, and the email you register with must be one you actually control. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Content you submit, forking, and licenses

When you submit a card, you provide a link to a video hosted elsewhere plus metadata you write yourself (title, description, prompt, negative prompt, workflow file, tags). You keep whatever rights you have in that metadata; by publishing it you grant Remixflix a license to display it on the site. You choose a license (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-NC, All rights reserved, or Other) that governs how other users may reuse your prompt and workflow — that license applies to the metadata you wrote, not to the underlying video, which stays governed by its source platform's own terms and by whatever rights the original creator holds. The license you choose can't grant Remixflix or anyone else more rights than you actually hold — you must own or have the right to share everything you submit, including the video link, the prompt, the workflow, and any reference images described in it.

Forking lets you create a new card that reuses another user's prompt and/or workflow. Forking does not transfer ownership of the original card, and does not give you any rights beyond what the original author's chosen license allows — for example, CC BY requires attribution, CC BY-NC forbids commercial use, and "All rights reserved" or "Other" means you need the author's separate permission before reusing anything. You are responsible for complying with the license of whatever you fork, and for the new material you add on top of it.Remixflix does not arbitrate or enforce license disputes between users — if you believe someone forked your work in violation of the license you chose, contact us and we'll look at the card, but the underlying dispute over the fork is between you and the other user.

4. AI disclosure

Every card requires you to declare that the video is AI-generated. This declaration must be truthful. Submitting a non-AI-generated video, or misrepresenting how it was made, is a violation of these terms and grounds for removal. We do not independently verify the model, workflow, or process an author declares — that declaration is the author's sole responsibility, and a card being listed on Remixflix is not a certification that the stated process is accurate.

5. Prohibited content

You may not submit content that:

  • Sexualizes or otherwise sexually depicts a minor in any way, including through AI generation or alteration — this is prohibited without exception, regardless of consent or any other factor
  • Depicts a real person without their consent, including deepfakes of public figures or private individuals. By submitting such content you represent either that you have the depicted person's consent, or that they are a public figure shown in a context that is not intimate, sexual, or defamatory
  • Infringes someone else's copyright or trademark
  • Is illegal, or violates the terms of the source platform
  • Is spam, or misleading about how it was produced

6. Reports and moderation

Any logged-in user can report a card or comment through the in-app Report button; reports are reviewed by our moderators, who can hide or remove content that violates these terms. You don't need an account to reach us — if you are the person depicted in a card and believe it shows you without your consent, email legal@remixflix.com directly with the card's URL and a description of the issue. Reports about non-consensual or deepfake depictions of a real person are given priority review over routine reports. At this stage moderation is otherwise a manual, best-effort process — we do not commit to a fixed response time for routine reports, but we treat non-consensual/deepfake reports as urgent. When we remove or restrict a card following a report, we make a good-faith effort to tell the card's author what was removed and why.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe a card infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@remixflix.com with: a description of the copyrighted work, the exact URL of the card, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, and a statement — made under your own responsibility — that this information is accurate. We will review the claim and remove or hide the card if it appears valid. If you believe a report against your own card was made in error, reply to the same address with your side of the story and we will take another look.

8. Scraping and bulk collection

You may not scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically extract cards, prompts, workflows, or other content from Remixflix, including for the purpose of training another AI model or building a competing product, without our prior written permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or remove an account or a card that violates these terms, without prior notice if the violation is serious (e.g. non-consensual content).

10. No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do not control the third-party platforms videos are embedded from — if a source video is removed or made private, the card's player will stop working even though its metadata remains. We do not verify or guarantee the accuracy of any prompt, workflow, model, license, or other declaration made by the person who submitted a card (see "AI disclosure" above).

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Remixflix and the person operating it are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or from content submitted by other users. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Indemnification

If content you submit infringes someone else's rights, violates these terms, or otherwise gives rise to a third-party claim against Remixflix, you agree to compensate us for reasonable costs and damages directly resulting from that claim, to the extent it arises from something you did in violation of these terms. This does not apply to claims arising from our own actions.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, where the service is operated from.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, nothing in these terms deprives you of the protections given to you by the mandatory law of your country of residence, including your right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country. For any dispute with a user who is not acting as a consumer, the competent court is determined under ordinary Italian jurisdiction rules.

14. Regulatory contact (EU Digital Services Act)

For the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act), our single point of contact for both public authorities and users is legal@remixflix.com. You can also use this address to report illegal content on the site, whether or not you have a Remixflix account.
